LinguaVista Team Spotlight
Dr. Chaowei Zhu: Founder & CEO
As a former professor and assistant dean at the Graduate School of Arts & Sciences, Wake Forest University, Dr. Chaowei Zhu has a lifelong passion and commitment to education. He firmly believes that quality education should not come with a hefty price tag and that strong culture and language programs broaden students' horizons, preparing them for future leadership roles. Before founding LinguaVista, Dr. Zhu served as a founding board director and supporter of two other schools in the Carolinas, both recognized for their language and cultural excellence. Additionally, he is the founder of three other nonprofit organizations and a dedicated community servant, committed to uplifting children from lower-income families through quality education.
Dr. Zhu holds an MBA and a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Renmin University of China, as well as an MA in Intercultural Services in Healthcare from Wake Forest University. He is an ATA-certified translator and one of four ATA certification exam graders for the English-Chinese language pair in the U.S.
In his spare time, Dr. Zhu enjoys traveling, working in the garden, engaging in conversations, and learning from others. He and his family live in the Triad area with an extended household that includes two Labradors (Dudu and Didi), one cat (Benben), fourteen chickens and dozens of fish—too many to name!
